Bio
My name is Michelle Jones and I am a sophomore from Cincinnati , Ohio . I came to the University of Arizona mainly for the Retail School . All through out high school I worked in retail--both corporate and independently owned. After those experiences, I realized that retail was my passion and it was something that I could visualize doing long term. I then chose the retail school at the University of Arizona because of its prestige, and strong academic reputation.
After taking the Introduction to Retail course it reaffirmed my belief that the retail school was the place for me, and that getting involved would be the perfect way for me to be a leader in the school and get more involved with the major.
Student Advisory Board seemed like a challenge but a huge growth opportunity and a way to give back to the school. Between the interview, the resume-building work shops, the corporate info session, and companies' connections to the school and its students--our program is continuing to grow with the ever-changing industry. I am really looking forward to my first semester on the Student Advisory Board serving as liaison for Petsmart and Strategic Mindshare. I will continue to help lead the ever-growing Terry Lungren School of Retailing to make it the best it can be.
