Whitney Wilkening
Bio
Hello! My name is Whitney Wilkening, and I am from Albuquerque, NM . I am an RCSC senior. I was an intern for Macy's Merchandising Group in New York City , one of Macy's two corporate headquarters. It was an outstanding experience, and I was able to see how apparel starts initially as a thought and becomes an actual tangible item on the floor.
I worked in the Product Development division which is the numbers side of fashion. The internship peaked my interest, and all of the classes I am taking this semester are fascinating and extremely applicable to what I learned this summer. I will be working at Macy's Merchandising Group upon graduation in May 2008. I am thankful to be in this major where the best companies are always looking to hire UA Retailing and Consumer Sciences students.
The Student Advisory Board is looking forward to very a productive and successful semester. I will focus heavily on gathering internship information for different companies so that inquiring students will have resources to look at when choosing the company they desire to intern for.
