Shakayla Byrd
My name is Shakayla Byrd and this is my second semester working on the Student Advisory Board. I look forward to once again being apart of such an outstanding team of dedicated future retail leaders.
I look at this opportunity as way for me to reach out to as many students from diverse backgrounds as I can and introduce them to the many unique opportunities that these companies have to offer to UA students. I became an Ambassador after realizing that like me, two years ago, there are many students who do not know about the opportunities and doors that a career in retail can open.
My career goals are not quite laid out for me yet, but I plan to open my own chain of boutiques. I look forward to making a difference in my position on the leadership board as Secretary and to introducing students to what the Terry J. Lundgrend Center has to offer. In the ever-changing world of retail I see many opportunities that are waiting for students to take advantage of. I look forward to the challenges ahead and to making a difference as a future retail leader.
