Chelsea Fischer
My name is Chelsea, and I’m a senior in the Retailing and Consumer Sciences Professional Program, graduating in December 2010.This is my fourth semester on the board and I’m honored to serve as Vice Chair. As Vice Chair of the Board, I am responsible for our social and fundraising events. I manage our Corporate Advisory Board calendar as well as make in-class presentations about the opportunities the Terry J. Lundgren Centers offers our students.
The Retailing and Consumer Sciences major is one of a kind, teaching us retail marketing and management principles applicable to the fast-paced industry. My classroom experience has provided me with the tools to understand in-store, online, global, and corporate operations. I have had years of in-store experience therefore, I’m interested in the corporate aspect of the retail industry such as buying. As Retailing and Consumer Sciences as my major, I know I am well prepared to launch my career in the retail industry this December.
