Dana Spaniol
My name is Dana Spaniol, I am from Cocoa Beach, Florida, and I am a junior in the Retailing and Consumer Sciences Major. I am thrilled to be a part of a major surrounded by such wonderful people, and such amazing opportunities for advancement in the stimulating field of retail.
In my fourth semester on the Student Advisory Board, I will serve as the Vice Chair for the Board and the liaison to the Corporate Advisory Board partners Walmart and Kurt Salmon Associates. Through these partnerships I hope to bring more awareness of career opportunities to the students on campus.
I interned this past summer in Merchandising with Walmart in Bentonville, Arkansas where I had an amazing experience and learned that I do indeed love working in the retail industry! I am currently working as a Spring Intern with Kohl’s in Marana, Arizona, and am excited to learn more about store operations through this wonderful opportunity. I also had the privilege of receiving the first annual Kurt Salmon Associates scholarship in 2009, and am a recipient of the 2010 YMA Fashion Scholarship.
