We take our learning to new heights by making students a part of today’s dynamic retailing ecosystem. Together, our corporate partners and UA educators find new ways of working together and supporting faculty as they pursue groundbreaking research that advances the interests of corporations and consumers alike. The Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing at the University of Arizona has announced the 2016 presenters at its 20th annual Global Retailing Conference, which will be held April 14 and 15 at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson.

Given the rapid evolution in retailing, this year's conference will focus on what's "in" — trends that are reshaping an industry that is increasingly challenged to be intimate, innovational and instant.

Congratulations to RCSC Student Rachel Weinstein who is among the five finalists for the $25,000 Next Generation scholarship from the National Retail Federation Foundation. Rachel Weinstein was captivated by retail when she started a sales associate job at 16 years old. She quickly understood the importance of technology in the growth of the retail industry and declared a minor in eSociety.

It used to be that the person looking for a retail job over the holidays was generally a student or a housewife hoping to make some extra cash to pay for presents.
