Mike Sapp, Senior Vice President, Buying, leads the Buying team and oversees the continued implementation of PetSmart’s Buying strategy. Mike joined PetSmart in 2001 as the Senior Buyer of Dog Health and Beauty Aids. He has held several leadership positions during his time at PetSmart including senior buyer of Cat Food, senior buyer of Dog Food, director of Dog Food, VP of Dog and Cat Consumables and VP of Merchandise Planning - Corporate. Prior to PetSmart, Mike worked for First Edge Sornson as CFO, Quality Die Casting as COO, and Frank’s Nursery & Crafts as director of Strategic Planning. He began his career with Broadway Department Stores, where he held a variety of merchandising and marketing positions at its corporate headquarters. Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a marketing major from the University of Arizona. He and his wife Patty live in Scottsdale and have two children, Stephanie and Brandt. Additionally, they are pet parents to Tiki, a Maltese/Yorkie mix.
