Liz Marsalla joined the Terry J. Lundgren Center team in January 2020, but has been a student-focused professional at the University of Arizona since 2014. She is an Arizona Wildcat with a Bachelor of Science in Literacy, Learning and Leadership and Leadership Studies and Practice from the College of Education. She also holds a Master of Education in Human Relations from Northern Arizona University.
Liz’s professional experience has focused on developing and supporting student leaders, connecting students to resources and providing them the tools to be successful in college and when they begin their professional career. She has worked with students in various stages of their college journey from connecting with prospective students, to supporting new students in their transition to college life, to coaching students as they set intentions and go after their goals.
In her current role, Liz works directly with the Center’s student clubs and club leaders, she facilitates workshops and organizes guest speakers on topics that directly relate to the needs of each student, and she coordinates employer visits and interviews. In addition, she provides one-on-one career coaching for students within the Retailing and Consumer Sciences program and those who are not in the major but have retail or entrepreneurial aspirations. Liz, along with the Center staff, plans and facilitates study tours to visit retailers, including their headquarters, manufacturing plants and distribution centers, both locally and nationwide.
When Liz isn’t meeting with students or planning workshops you can find her hiking the Catalina’s with her husband and two dogs, or driving out to a lake for some fresh air. You can also find her at the Scented Leaf grabbing a cup of tea or munching down some Pei Wei on University Blvd!
