In addition to serving as the current director of the Center, Scott has been in the classroom for over 18 years, first as an adjunct at several higher education institutions and then as a professor of practice at the University of Arizona.  During this teaching career, Scott has taught a variety of courses including business analysis, retail entrepreneurship, supply chain management, international business, and small business management. 

Prior to starting his career in higher education, Scott served in a variety of roles in industry.  He was the Chief Operating Officer of an innovative medical device designer and manufacturer where he led all aspects of the company's operations.  He also consulted with a wide range of companies on business development, marketing and operations from Fortune 100 companies to pre-market startup companies.  He has also been a co-founder or early-stage principal in several startup companies in the biotechnology/medical device and educational technology industries.

He has his Master of Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.  He also studied at the University of Paris – Sorbonne and the American University in Paris, France.

Scott lives with his wife, Angie;  daughter, Alessandra who is a psychology/marine science student at the University of Arizona; and, their dog Snowball.  In his little free time, Scott enjoys reading about military/political history and biographies, barbecuing, and watching birds in his backyard aviary.
