A Resource and a Proving ground

Through its connections with top retailers, consumer products and services companies, the Center offers students the chance to intern with companies that are changing the face of the retail industry. Regular classroom speakers expose students to stories about life in the retailing trenches and examples of how businesses solve problems. Industry tours give a close-up look at retail formats in a particular city. Research and career exploration can be expanded through the Center's educational resource center. To honor its commitment to industry, the Center publishes regular reports on current research and activities of participating companies, faculty, and students. It holds an annual conference on trends in the global retail marketplace as a professional development opportunity for industry personnel and academicians.
