I am a senior honor student currently studying retailing and consumer sciences here at the University of Arizona. My expected graduation date is May 2018. Therefore, this is my second and final semester serving on the Student Advisory Board. My retail journey began when I started working at Target in high school to save up money for college. When I arrived at UA, I chose this major because I wanted to learn more about the inner workings of the industry I had already acquired several years of work experience in. I’ve learned so much during my time here not only about retail itself, but also what it means to be an effective leader and act with professionalism.
In the time I have left to serve on the board, I intend to continue engaging with students and exciting them about the opportunities available for their future careers in retail. I will also continue to act as an effective liaison between the TJLC and our corporate partners.
