Last Tuesday, the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing proudly hosted the 2024 Retail Fuse Job-Ready Edition, a career-development event designed to empower college students with the knowledge and skills essential for a successful transition from college to the dynamic world of retail and business.
Esteemed leaders from diverse retail industry sectors spoke about their inspiring career journeys, offering key insights they had learned from their professional career paths. Each speaker and panel shared wisdom, shedding light on critical moments and invaluable lessons learned along the way.
Attendees were immersed in interactive sessions designed to equip them with the tools needed to thrive in today's competitive retail world. From hearing from recent alumni to learning how to ask hard questions to use the power of networking, participants were exposed to practical strategies to launch their careers right out of college.
The event enabled attendees to create meaningful connections with peers and recruiters from various companies. These connections enrich personal networks and lay the groundwork for future mentorship and internship/job opportunities.
