Sheila Kressler-Crowley

Interim Director

Sheila Kressler-Crowley is an UArizona alumni. She has worked in retail from the time she was 18 with her first job at Macy’s in housewares. Prior to coming to the Center she spent the last 13 years at Bookmans Entertainment Exchange, an independent chain of used books and media stores with 6 locations in Arizona and an Amazon marketplace. She served as the Marketing Director.

“I have opened stores and I have closed stores. I have put on an event for 10,000 people and I have had to show up as our mascot, Book Man, to an event when we had a sick employee. My tenure at Bookmans has been one of the greatest learning labs in retail with a major in adaptability.

I’ve built my career in a variety of roles and industries. I am not only used to wearing many hats, I sincerely enjoy it; I thrive in an environment where no two work days are exactly the same. Prior to my tenure at Bookmans I had worked in the health and fitness industry, radio, sold high end Art Deco in Los Angeles and worked for the American Film Marketing Association. The experience in each of these diverse industries had one common thread that I have taken with me and continue to evolve in my life-long learning process: relationships. Fostering, expanding and serving customers and now students and team members is a personal mission of mine and when aligned with an organization it makes for a wonderful collaboration.”

Sheila and her husband are Tucson natives. They have two great kids and enjoy travel, movies, friends and family. Sheila has also spent the last 22 years in broadcasting both as on air personality and voice over artist. When she’s not juggling, work, family and radio you can find her in the hot yoga studio or binge reading and watching Netflix!
