TJLC works closely with industry partners, faculty, and our Corporate Advisory Board to connect students with internship and career opportunities across the retail and consumer industries.
While we don't place students directly into positions, we help them navigate the process—from identifying opportunities and preparing competitive applications to making meaningful connections with employers.
Continued Career Guidance
Through the Center, students and graduates are welcome to visit with our staff at anytime to receive one-on-one coaching on resume formatting, interview skills, development and use of a professional LinkedIn profile, cover letter writing and guidance on their career exploration. From there, we are able to connect students with opportunities that fit their specific interests and provide them with ways to gain the skills and experiences necessary to move in the direction they choose.

Students in the retailing and consumer sciences major can register for a meeting with Center staff via Handshake. Students who are not in the major can email us directly.
