Danielle is a Program Associate for the Iraq University Linkages Program and the Kurdistan Rural University Partnership Program with IREX. Danielle's Retailing and Consumer Sciences degree has proved to be invaluable in her career. Before working at IREX, Danielle spent 2 years serving in the United States Peace Corps as a Community Economic Development volunteer. While in Cameroon, Danielle implemented a number of on the ground development projects. Her work focused on the economic empowerment of women and youths through income generating activities and basic savings practices. It was extremely exciting being able to teach young girls and women how to create a business and teach marketing and customer service skills. Danielle's university education allowed her the opportunity to be around creative, business minded people, which ultimately helped shape how she approaches her development work and teaching others what she learned in her undergraduate time.
