Meet the Director of the TJLC
Sheila Kressler-Crowley, the Director of the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing (TJLC), brings a wealth of experience to her role. A University of Arizona alumna, Sheila's retail journey began at 18 in Macy's housewares department. Her career path led her through diverse industries, including health and fitness, radio, high-end Art Deco sales in Los Angeles, and the American Film Marketing Association. Most notably, she spent 13 years at Bookmans Entertainment Exchange, an independent chain of used books and media stores, where she served as Marketing Director overseeing six Arizona locations and an Amazon marketplace.
Sheila's approach to leadership is characterized by adaptability and relationship-building. "I've built my career in a variety of roles and industries," she says. "I am not only used to wearing many hats, I sincerely enjoy it; I thrive in an environment where no two workdays are exactly the same." Her colleagues praise her empowering leadership style, with one coworker noting, "Sheila's energy, attention to detail, and encouragement have made her a great colleague to collaborate with. She is a quick problem solver and looks for new ways to reach goals if our team is faced with barriers."
Beyond her professional achievements, Sheila maintains a rich personal life. A Tucson native, she enjoys travel, movies, and time with friends and family alongside her husband and two children. Her passions extend to broadcasting, where she's spent 22 years as both an on-air personality and voice-over artist. Demonstrating her commitment to wellness, Sheila also teaches hot yoga twice a week. This blend of professional expertise and personal interests makes Sheila Kressler-Crowley a dynamic and inspiring leader for the TJLC.
