The Lundgren Scholars is an initiative that builds on the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing's core mission of helping students develop their readiness for a career in the retailing and brand industry.  This highly selective program will provide unparalleled access for a small group of University of Arizona students to this dynamic industry.

Scholars will receive personal mentoring from industry leaders, training and development opportunities, exposure to the industry through a personally-designed research or service engagement and other amazing opportunities. Scholars will also be supported financially through an annual stipend and travel support to attend industry events.

The Lundgren Scholars program is open to ALL University of Arizona undergraduate majors with interests in retail.

  • A stipend of $5,000 to support them in their studies for the year of the program
  • Executive seminars with some of the most prominent thought leaders in the industry
  • Full access to the Global Retailing Ideas Summit including direct access to speakers and other exclusive events during the summit

Scholar Project*

The Lundgren Scholars will have the opportunity to work on a personally designed year-long research or service project focused around the retailing and brand industry. These could include designing a training program for non-profits or entrepreneurs on key areas of the industry, developing new research on a pressing issue in the industry or many other similar topics or engagements. This work will be featured on the Center's website, social media and be highlighted at the annual Global Retailing Ideas Summit in April.

*Scholar projects might qualify for independent study credit, depending on your program of study. Contact your academic advisor to see if this option is available to you!
